For rehearsals in pianist's home. No recording allowed during rehearsals.

Rehearsals for exams grade 1 to 3

S$120 for the first hour, subsequently $100/h

Minimum 3 hours

Rehearsals for exams grade 4 to 5

S$140 for the first hour, subsequently $90/h

Minimum 3 hours

Rehearsals for Grade 6 to 7

S$160 for the first hour, subsequently $100/h

Minimum 4 hours

Rehearsals for Grade 8 and diploma

S$180 for the first hour, subsequently $120/h

Minimum 4 hours

Performance Fee & Studio Recordings

S$200 for the first hour, subsequently $100/h

Minimum 2 hours

Submission of Scores

The pianist will need sufficient time to prepare your pieces in order to support your practice and performance. Please respect the time and effort spent to do so; they are equal performance partners even if the exam is for your personal grading, and an accompanist can make or break your performance. If scores are submitted late, the pianist does not guarantee a full rehearsal of the piece/s.

Thus, please submit your scores early:

Up to grade 5: TWO WEEKS before the first rehearsal.
Grade 6 and above: FOUR WEEKS before the first rehearsal, to work on one piece per rehearsal.

Terms and Conditions

Fees and Lesson Structures

Fees are due on the 1st day of each quarter (Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct) or on the 1st of each month.
Fees paid by month are subject to a deposit of 1 month's fees.
Post-paid monthly fees incur a surcharge of 20%.
Late payments will incur a surcharge of 10% of the fees or treated as post-paid fees (if paid after the 20th).
Discounts: For extended/multiple lessons or siblings having back to back lessons.
4 lesson a month structure: 10% surcharge.
Fortnightly lessons (2 lessons per month, 6 lessons per term) or irregular lessons: 20% surcharge.
Referrals: 1 free lesson for every successful student referred (taken in the following quarter and subject to replacement in kind according to teacher's discretion).
Fees may be adjusted half-yearly and according to their promotion to the next grade.
Fast-track / twice-weekly lessons are available upon assessment.
All students are expected to attend all special programmes organised by Musical Blessings (recital and/or lessons) each year, which constitute one lesson each.
Rescheduling of lessons by students is allowed up to twice a year, to be taken within the term, subject to the availability of time slots. For subsequent absences, lesson is forfeit.
Suspension of lessons (due to holidays or other reasons), half month fee
There shall be no refunds.
Fees are subject to change without notice and at the sole discretion of the teacher.

Lesson Etiquette, Health and Safety Policies

Parents must oversee your children’s practice. Students who consistently fail to practise or show progress may be suspended from lessons.
Lessons are strictly individual - parents may request to sit in for the first lesson only.
Strictly no recording or photography allowed.
Please be punctual for lessons. Latecomers bear your own penalty and the lesson will not be extended.
Students are expected to be on their best behaviour during lessons, to exercise discipline and learn self-control; those who are unable to do so or are rude may be suspended from lessons.
Please refrain from coming for lessons if you are unwell. If the student is sniffing or coughing, the teacher will provide a mask or ask that the child be taken home; if the student appears unwell upon arrival, the teacher reserves the right to terminate the lesson and half the lesson is forfeit.
Students are expected to complete at least one grade a year, via internal or external exams.
Upgrading is not automatic upon passing an exam. The teacher will assess the suitability for the student to be promoted.
Every effort is made by the teacher to arrive early or punctually at lessons in student's homes; however, occasional delays may happen due to unexpected conditions travelling between homes. We seek students' and parents' understanding in this.
