Teacher Sharon is esteemed for her experience and distinctive pedagogy. She is committed to developing high musical literacy in her students. As an educator who understands that each child is unique, her learner-centered pedagogy develops students according to their individual strengths while improving their weaknesses, with the ultimate goal of enjoyment and proficiency in music. She teaches piano from beginner to diploma level.

She is dedicated to building a love of music in her students and has high expectations of them.  She works with parents to support their children’s practice, developing virtue alongside virtuosity, to nurture civic-minded citizens of high integrity who are respected in society.

Ms Sharon advocates continuing professional development. Leading by example, in 2007, she obtained  the LMusTCL, a prestigious music award by Trinity College London, for her achievement in advanced music theory, and has been consulted for advanced music theory by teachers and students since then . Her most recent accomplishment is a Masters degree in Education, specialising in Music where her dissertation was on piano education for young beginner students.

Besides teaching, Ms Sharon is an active church leader, serving in the music ministry since her childhood as chorister, worship leader, pianist and Sunday School teacher. She is regularly invited to perform at public community events and as collaborative pianist.
